We're not short, we're petite!

Take a look at all our feet! Obviously Australian standard benches.

From the left, its me, three of my mother's friends and then my mother. They meet every Sunday for lunch and an outing. My mother has known two of the ladies for over 30 years and then the other one is a new good friend. I hope that when I'm 60, I also live somewhere close enough to some friends to enjoy the camaraderie.

Great picture, Amanda. I'll bet your mom was very proud to have her daughter and grandson a part of her group for the day!

You won't be able to find friends that you can meet up regularly unless you get "rooted" and stay in one permanent place. If you were to do that, then you will have to sacrifice having an "exciting nomadic lifestyle".

Hehehe. I was in Brisbane in August and I had the same problem. Actually, I stayed on the Gold Coast my entire stay, Brisbane was just a 'visit' on the day I arrived (and left).

Don't think of yourself as short...think of yourself as a "power-packed concentrate." That's how I think of Agnes, who comes about up to my nose in her dancing heels.

I'll have to tell all the ladies that they are 'power-packed concentrate'. Good one Bilbo!
