Mike - They're papayas. They usually have little black seeds on the inside but for some reason, these have none, at all. And, its not because they've been eaten by the birds.
Tamara - I'm thinking of wrapping up all the fruit tomorrow. I think they'll still ripen.
Bilbo - Yes. Its very tempting to do that. We not only have birds but possums and turkeys too!

Oh no we. We loose fruit to birds as well. I guess there is a natural built in loss when it comes to ripen fruit
The birds are a big reason why I gave up trying to grow vegetables in my garden.
